At Volt, we've created Volt Insights to make your message deliverability transparent and understandable, whether you're using Volt Messaging or Volt Connect.

You can access the Volt Insights page from any dashboard. Here are the two ways to do so:

The two ways to access the Insights Dashboard.

1. From Volt Messaging:

You should be able to access the Volt Insights dashboard from any page. Look to the left menu and select the "Insights" button highlighted by the yellow lightning bolt.

2. Directly in Volt Insights:

If you are directly logged into Volt Insights already, you will be able to find your deliverability overview in the "Insights" section. This will also be the default view as you log in. However, if you find yourself on another page, you will be able to navigate to the "Insights" section from the left-hand menu.

How to analyze your deliverability

Once you're on the Insights Dashboard, you can analyze your messaging in detail. Here's how:

  1. Set the Date and Time: In the top bar, select the period you want to analyze.

  1. Deliverability Overview: The first box gives a quick glance view of your messaging across all your phone numbers and brands.

  2. Detailed Breakdown: On the right, you will see a breakdown by each major carrier, color-coded for easy comprehension. This can help identify if the deliverability issues originate from a single or multiple carrier sources. The error buckets are divided into:

    1. Messaging Volume - This means T-Mobile issues resulted from 10DLC daily message limits, or AT&T issues resulted from messages being sent too fast.

    2. Phone Numbers - This means the phone number you tried to send an SMS does not have the ability to receive a message, or other formatting issues were preventing the number from being reachable.

    3. Marked Spam - This means the carriers never delivered your message due to suspected spam. The best way to analyze the specific reason it got marked as spam is to download the raw data report to see the error code next to the content of the message that was blocked.

    4. Provider Issues - This means the messaging providers (Gateway or CPaaS) ran into issues or could not deliver your SMS.

    5. Carrier Issues - This means that the carriers ran into issues and could not deliver your SMS.

  3. Direct Data Download: Below the detailed breakdown, you'll find the data download for each error category. This gives you the most detailed view of the issues encountered.

  4. Deliverability by Phone Number: At the bottom, you can see the deliverability by each of your registered brands. You can filter elements, search for specific numbers, and organize the phone numbers by the brands you manage.

  5. Detailed Phone Number View: To delve into a specific issue for a phone number, click the square button on the right-hand side under the "view" tab of the "Outbound Message Health" segment. This brings up a new dashboard with details for that specific phone number.

By using these tools, you'll be able to comprehensively analyze your messaging volume. But remember, we're always here to assist you. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us.
